Krav Maga

Krav Maga is an amazing fighting style that started out in Israel. In Hebrew it means "contact combat". In the 1930s, a guy by the name Imi Lichtenfeld fled from Czechoslovakia to the British Palestine Mandate, which is now Israel, to escape the Nazi's. There he helped trained Jewish men and women to defend themselves. Now the Krav Maga fighting style is used all over the world for self defense.

Krav Maga basic training emphasizes the following:

  • Avoid injury
  • Neutralize the attacker fast
  • Transition quickly from defensive into offensive techniques
  • Use the natural reflexes of the body
  • Exploit the opponent's vulnerabilities
  • Employ the aid of any available objects
